You’ll have to agree that customer service is one of the most important elements of a business. Without customers, you don’t really have a business! That is why I put such a heavy emphasis on delivering great customer service. It is really important to WOW your customers, and it’s really not that hard! Most of the time, it doesn’t even cost extra.
Customer service is a great way to stand out from the crowd, because that is what people talk about. The word of mouth factor is huge! Customers are most likely to talk about their experience if it is really great, or really bad. You definitely don’t want to fall into the really bad category, but you also don’t want to be mediocre. You want your customers to rave about their experience so that you increase your customer retention rate and potentially gain new customers via positive word of mouth.

A little bit goes a long way. Even the simplest act, such as a greeting, can be monumental! A fantastic customer greeting involves a smile, eye contact, and using the person’s name. That will definitely make you stand out and improve the customer’s experience. Being honest with the customer is also a great tactic. Saying no is hard, but when you are straightforward with the customer, they will appreciate it. It is always better to under-promise and over-deliver. Oh, and free stuff helps, too.
