I just got back from the #140Conf in New York City on Weds 4/21. It was a two day event (4/20-4/21), talking all about Twitter. It was the largest worldwide gathering of people interested in the effects of the real-time internet on both businesses and society. I had a blast! I was able to speak on a panel of authors, and I met some amazing people and had a great time learning more about Twitter. The entire conference was live on UStream, and everyone there was constantly updating their Tweets!
Speaking on the panel was a fantastic experience! The panel was called Book Authors Panel, and the participants were Me, Don Lafferty, John Kremer, Tim Ferriss, and it was moderated by my PR agent, Imal Wagner. The conference was VERY fast paced, and each panel only got 15 minutes on stage. I would have loved to spend more time speaking and listening to the other members of the panel, but it was still great to have that opportunity! We are each very different authors, so it was interesting to hear what everyone had to say. Check out this video of my panel!
Spending the day in NYC was very fun, I wish we could have stayed longer! Jessie and I had lunch at a cute restaurant down the street, and also enjoyed foot massages! All in all, the #140Conf was a success!
